I’ve succumbed to the “7 things you don’t know about me” meme, thanks to Anita Campbell at Small Business Trends blog.
Today's Friday. Nice way to end out the week and connect with folks.
So, here are 7 things about me. After reading them, I'd like to find out something about you. You can share in the comments section.
Also, at the end of the post I’ve also tagged 7 fun women entrepreneurs to share seven things about themselves.
7 Things You May Not Know About Me
- I celebrated Jerusalem 3000 in Israel. It was a fabulous experience.
- At the age of 50, I decided to stop saying, "next lifetime I'm coming back as an artist" and signed up for an acrylics class. Four months later, I began taking oil lessons and have been painting ever since. Never say you're too old to begin anything!
- I was a Rotary Fellow in England. Spent a fantastic year at the University of Surrey getting my MMus in Orchestra Conducting.
- My first entrepreneurial experience was when I was 8 years old. My baby brother had just been born and I frequently took him for buggy strolls through our Mt. Lebanon, PA neighborhood. I quickly realized that a baby in a buggy was a big draw. So, when relatives came for a visit bringing fresh produce with them from their farm, I loaded up the baby buggy with the extra produce and went door-to-door selling heads of cabbage for 5 cents a piece.
- I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian and have been so for 30 years. My "last meal" was lobster that I, myself, dove for in Bar Harbor, ME.
- I am an ID in the DiSC assessment.I find the DiSC to be an invaluable tool for understanding behavior styles and how we interact with others in the workplace and life.
- Finally, after 32 years, my 1906 Knabe Grand Piano is home. It now sits beautifully restored in the only room in my house that has cathedral ceilings, ready to be played.
That's it! Did anything on my list surprise you?
Now let’s hear from you. In the comments section below, share one fact about yourself — the more obscure the better. That way we can get to know you a little better!
